From the vault
We are going to start posting some music from the vaults on a regular basis. Some studio, some live, some unreleased. Keep checking back.
First up is "Blake". (For those who attended one of the Somerville Theater shows a few years back, you may remember a live version of this one. ) In the winter of 96-97, Buffalo Tom holed up for a week in Chappaquiddick on Martha's Vineyard. They were joined by Tom Gorman from Belly on keyboards, who also played a string of live shows with them at that time. The band was in the beginning stages of working on material for 1998s "Smitten" album. A couple of tracks from this time made it onto the B-sides ep released that same year, "Cupid Come" and "Hawaian Baby".
"Only Living Boy in New York" , a Simon and Garfunkel cover, is from the same session as Blake.
"Frozen Lake" was from a Kendall Cafe shows a few years back.
"Sun God" is another from the 8-track recordings at Chappaquiddick.
